Who runs this site

This site is run by Daniel Akselrod, an individual photographer based in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. For anything on this page — a question, a takedown request, a correction — email dan.akselrod@gmail.com.

What this site collects

The public portfolio sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts, fonts, or embeds — every font and photograph is served from this domain. There is no contact form on the site; the Contact page simply lists an email address and Instagram handle for you to reach out through directly, so nothing you write is transmitted through or stored by this site. Because nothing is collected or tracked, there is no cookie banner and nothing to opt out of for the public portfolio.

Private photo administration

The password-protected photo admin uses an essential session cookie to keep the owner signed in. Uploaded photographs, descriptions, categories and color palettes are stored on this website's hosting. Photo classification runs in the owner's browser using model files served by this website; images are not sent to an external AI service. The browser may cache those model files. Prepared photographs are sent to this website only when the owner publishes them. Published photos are public. Hiding a photo removes it from the gallery but does not delete the underlying image files. Login attempt records are used to limit repeated password guesses.

Hosting logs

The public portfolio and private photo admin are served by a hosting provider. Like virtually any web host, it keeps standard server access logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and reliability. Those logs belong to the host, are not used by this site to build a profile of visitors, and are not linked to anything else.

The photographs

Every photograph on this site was made by Daniel Akselrod and remains his copyright. They may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without written permission. If you appear in one and would like it taken down, email dan.akselrod@gmail.com and it will come down.

Your rights

Because this site does not collect personal data automatically, there is generally nothing held about you to request, correct, or delete. If you have emailed the address above, you can ask at any time for that message to be deleted, and it will be — there is no charge and no form to fill in. This applies wherever you are, including under the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA (California).

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
